Why CNET launched a new quarterly print edition
CNET, a 20-year-old company known for it's insight in the tech industry, launched a quarterly magazine. With previously web-only content provided on futuristic technologies why would they launch a magazine? CNET Co-Editor In Chief, Connie Guglielmo responded to that with "We’re platform agnostic. It’s all about the reader and how they want to consume content." Almost all of their magazine content is original as well, with no article copied word for word. The reasoning behind the launch of the magazine was because CNET was "Trying to put the 'you', the personal, back into technology." CNET has also said that they have no plans on stopping or slowing their web content.
