Profits are Large Among Small Printers

US printers revenue is split evenly between small and large print companies (total assets over $25 million), but when comparing pre-taxed profit, smaller companies earn 3x as much more. This is due to a decrease in markets capitalized on by larger print companies, like magazines, catalogs, and newspaper inserts. This data is a bit skewed, as when small businesses have unprofitable years they tend to close down, while larger companies can get by selling assets and downsizing to stay afloat.
